What Makes This Series Different

Most yoga classes cover a broad range of poses. These classes go deeper.

Each session focuses on a single topic—giving you time to study, question, and truly understand the practice.

What You'll Gain:

Therapeutic Intelligence
Learn to address neck tension, knee pain, hip tightness, and lower back discomfort at their source—not just the symptoms.

Foundational Principles
Study the concepts B.K.S. Iyengar taught that apply to every pose: where extension originates, how to balance effort and ease, the relationship between stability and mobility.

Seasonal Alignment
Practice sequences that support your body through the year's natural rhythms—building immunity in winter, opening in spring, staying active in summer, releasing in fall.

Accessible to All Levels
Whether you're in Foundations or Advanced classes, these themes deepen your understanding and meet you where you are.

This Series Is For You If:

✓ You want to understand why certain poses help specific conditions
✓ You have a specific area of tension or discomfort you want to address
✓ You're curious about the deeper principles that make Iyengar Yoga unique

Featured Classes to Explore

Extending From the Center

August 25, 2026

B.K.S. Iyengar taught that we must focus on where we extend from, not where we reach to. Study this fundamental principle across standing poses, forward extensions, and backbends. Learn how shifting your attention from the destination to the source transforms the quality and safety of every asana.

Supporting Summer Movement

May 19, 2026

Develop the strength, range, and endurance that outdoor activities demand—hiking, cycling, gardening, swimming. Study a balanced sequence addressing legs, hips, shoulders, and spine. Take this sequence home to practice all summer long.

Observing Effort and Exhaustion

January 27, 2026

Learn to distinguish between the effort that builds capacity and the strain that depletes. Study how breath, alignment, and timing reveal whether you're strengthening or overtaxing your system. Develop sensitivity to your body's intelligence.
