Frequently Asked Questions before your first Iyengar Yoga Classes

  • Wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows you to move freely. Avoid anything too loose or baggy that might get in the way during poses.

  • You are more than welcome to but we have everything you need. We do not charge a fee for using our props.

  • Absolutely! Yoga is for everyone, regardless of flexibility or fitness level. Our instructors will provide modifications to suit all abilities.

  • We recommend arriving at 10 minutes before the scheduled start time to check in, set up your mat, and prepare for class.

  • It's best to practice on an empty stomach, so try to avoid heavy meals 1-2 hours before class.

  • Please inform your instructor before class so they can provide appropriate modifications and ensure your safety. It's also a good idea to consult with your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise regimen.

  • Starting with 2-3 classes per week is a good goal but even 1 will do! We encourage you to try different classes and instructors to find a good fit.
